O'tkir respirator distress sindrom (ARDS) is a syndrome characterized by widespread inflammation in the lungs leading to pulmonary edema, diffuse bilateral infiltrates, and severe hypoxemia. It is classified according to the Berlin definition based on PaO2/FiO2 ratio
