Itsenko-Kushing syndrome is a disease characterized by neuroendocrine dysfunction due to disruption of the hypothalamic-pituitary system. It is related to hypersecretion of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and dual hyperfunction of the adrenal cortex.
