Information about the etiology and epidemiology of Hepatitis A, a positive-strand RNA virus belonging to the Picornaviridae family. It is transmitted through fecal-oral route, contaminated water and food, close contact. Incubation period is 15-50 days. Mostly asymptomatic in children and young adults.
