The importance of respecting parents has been a significant tradition in Uzbek culture for centuries. Uzbek families emphasize the upbringing of children, teaching them life experiences and moral values. According to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, parents have the responsibility to provide upbringing and education to their children, highlighting the necessity for children to also show respect to their parents. Every year on May 15th, International Day of Families is celebrated, commemorating the values cherished in families.
