Dispersion analysis (ANOVA) is a statistical method to evaluate the differences between group means by dividing the total variance in a variable into between-group and within-group variances. It is used to assess the effects of independent variables, determine the randomness or significance of group differences, assess factor effects and interactions, separate error variance, and establish the adequacy of experimental design and model
