The role and functions of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan in ensuring macroeconomic stability, developing and implementing monetary and credit policy, issuing and monitoring the currency unit, licensing, regulating and supervising the banking system, determining reserve requirements, managing foreign exchange policy and reserves, ensuring financial stability and protecting the rights of consumers.
